Retreats that stay with you

The reason you're here

You're not unhappy.
You're just running flat.

The career works. The city gives you what it promised. You're fit enough, comfortable enough, busy enough. And somewhere in the last few years, the lights dimmed a little. You can't remember the last time you felt properly alive in your body, or made a real friend without scheduling it three weeks out. You don't need another holiday you've forgotten by Friday. You need something that asks more of you, and gives more back.

Trade the desk for the ridge.

New ground, new air, new you.

Nua takes capable people out of the city and into wild, remarkable landscapes, to move, recover and reconnect. Not a yoga retreat, not a bootcamp, not a luxury escape that simply pauses your life. The active reset: genuine challenge, proper recovery and good company, far from the city. We run everything so all you have to do is show up and give it your full effort. You arrive on your own ground and leave on new ground.

You arrive on your own ground. You leave on new ground.

Not an escape. A return.

Movement, recovery, clarity.

01

Movement

Real effort in extraordinary country. Scaled to you, not to an athlete. The good kind of hard.

02

Recovery

Proper rest, built in by design, not bolted on. You'll sleep, eat and recover the way your body actually needs.

03

Clarity

What happens when you move well, rest properly and put the phone down in a place that takes your breath away. You come back switched on again.

A small group of riders pausing on a high alpine col, the Écrins peaks behind them

The company you'll keep

Strangers at the trailhead. Friends by the summit.

The magic of a Nua retreat is the combination of genuine challenge and genuine fellowship. Small groups of people who want more from life, doing something difficult together. Most people arrive on their own. Almost nobody leaves feeling that way. The shared effort does something a dinner party never could. You'll go home with a stronger body, a clearer head, and a handful of people you'll actually stay in touch with.

03 — How it works

Simple, by design.

01

Choose your retreat

Pick the place and the dates. Tell us nothing more than that.

02

Arrive and give it everything

We handle the rest, from the route to the recovery to the meals.

03

Come home changed

Not just rested. Returned, with the lights back on.

Made for people who want more than a holiday.

Nua is for capable people in their thirties, forties and fifties who used to feel more alive and want that back, or who already love wild places and refuse to let life squeeze them out. You don't need to be an athlete. You need to be ready to give it your effort and your attention. If you want to be pampered and left unchanged, this isn't it. If you want to come back different, it is.

In their words.

Stunning area and beautiful chalet! Would 100% recommend to families, for group get-aways, retreats, or birthdays. The hosts welcomed us with open hands and hearts. Be sure to take advantage of the jacuzzi — definitely worth it.

We had a fantastic sports week here. Fantastic, modern, well-maintained apartments. A 10-minute drive from the Serre Chevalier and Montgenèvre resorts. Highly recommended.

Great team, great resort, great accommodation! The hot tub was a real highlight. Take me back immediately. The transport services were amazing — the drivers were so accommodating, ready to take us wherever we wanted at the drop of a hat. I can't imagine not returning; such an amazing retreat.

Excellent stay. If I could, I'd give it even more stars. Thank you so much for this week 🙏🏼

The promise

Newness you earn, not a new you.

This isn't reinvention and it isn't a self-help makeover. It's the genuine, slightly surprising feeling of coming home with more in the tank than when you left. Built on the simple truth at the heart of a city life: the place that rewards you isn't always the place that restores you. Nua means new. That's the whole promise, and we don't make it lightly.

Go somewhere that stays with you.

About Nua

Built for the quietly flat. The capable. The ready.

You're good at your life. The career works, the calendar's full, you're fit enough and comfortable enough. And still, somewhere in the last few years, the lights dimmed a little. You can't remember the last time you felt properly alive in your body, or did something hard just to prove you still could.

We understand that, because we kept meeting people who felt exactly the same. Capable, successful, quietly flat. People who didn't need another holiday or another gym membership. They needed to be tested and restored at the same time, in a place big enough to put things back in proportion, alongside people who wanted more from life too.

Nua was founded by Emmet Trant, a personal trainer who spent years watching the same thing happen up close. He saw that the people who came back to themselves weren't the ones who trained hardest. They were the ones who moved with purpose, recovered properly, and did it in good company, somewhere wild enough to matter. So he built the thing he couldn't point them to: active retreats in remarkable places, designed around real challenge, proper rest and genuine connection.

That's all Nua is, and all it needs to be. We handle the route, the recovery and the details. You bring your effort and your attention. You arrive on your own ground, and you leave on new ground.

New ground, new air, new you.

Something new in you

Find your ground.

The retreats are small and they fill quickly.
